2023 election: Dino Melaye protests as INEC begins collation process in Abuja

 

Dino Melaye, the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) collation agent, has voiced his opposition to the collation and result release procedures. 

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, is conducting the procedure. 

The former lawmaker is contesting each and every result that the various State Collation Officers have submitted. 

For comparison with the results reported by the state's collation officials, he wants the results announced at the polling places to be posted on the INEC website. 

Dino, you are now purposefully being obstructive, remarked Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, the chairman of INEC, who sought to calm him down.
