Truck k*lls 3, injures 2 on Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway
When a truck lost control at a toll gate on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, three persons died and two more were hurt.
The event occurred on Tuesday in Ota, Ogun, according to Mr. Ahmed Umar, the FRSC's Ogun Sector Commander, who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
According to Umar, there were six people, two cars, and two motorcycles involved in the accident, which happened at roughly 7:35 p.m.
He claims that a cement-bag-transporting truck lost control owing to brake failure while traveling on the Abeokuta-Lagos Expressway, ramming into two cars and two Bajaj motorcycles.
He claims that either traders or those waiting for buses are to blame for the deaths.
"Three people died as a result of the tragedy, while one person escaped harm and two others suffered various degrees of injuries.
"The injured are being treated at the General Hospital, Ota, while the corpses of the dead have been deposited at the mortuary of General Hospital, Ifo," he stated.
The sector commander attributed the collision to driving too fast.
Umar advised drivers to always refrain from excessive speeding and check the condition of their vehicles before Putting them on the roadways will stop accidents that could be avoided. (NAN)
